Can City Manager Brian Platt Survive Mostly Negative Kansas City Public Opinion?!?

Here's the most important thing about the current city manager position . . .

It's not a job that typically supports longevity. 

High end bureaucrats are like tissue paper and NOBODY should get too attached to them. 

And so . . .

It's not the end of the world to send someone on their way.

However . . .

What we're seeing is really a power struggle betwixt 2 termed out council ladies & a few east side votes against Mayor Q. 

Without a serious challenger the mayor clearly has the upper hand. 

However . . . 

Generally, there aren't a lot of people in Kansas City who are willing to go on record in defense of Brian Platt. And a dearth of allies outside of the mayor's office is what really endangers his job.

Accordingly . . .

Our 50 cent bet is that Mayor Q tosses him overboard in order quiet his critics and make a fresh start for his second term.

Then again . . . A bit of fortitude might serve the 29th floor well.
