Calvin's Comeback Proves Complicated & Raises More Questions

Behind the scenes in Jackson County . . . A power player politico's impending return to the courthouse continues to spark controversy.

With respect to ideas about restorative justice and the necessity for pathways to reform . . . Here's the big question . . .

IS THE FREEDOM, INC. LEGISLATIVE MAJORITY TAKEOVER OF JACKSON COUNTY OVERSHADOWED BY CALVIN'S RUMORED POWER PLAYER RETURN FOLLOWING FEDERAL CONVICTION?!?

Again . . .

As always, TKC is an optimistic soul who wants to see everyone do well after lockup . . .

Meanwhile, others aren't so forgiving . . . Here's a portion of a note circulating amongst the courthouse elite . . .

"Williford's criminal case was much more egregious than the MSM reported, and raises serious questions about his fitness to even be an employee of Jackson County"

"Now that Calvin Williford will be returning to the taxpayer dole, and to the very same government where he committed his crimes no less, it opens up a series of very serious and important questions about his basic fitness to even be employed at the very county where his offenses were committed."

So far local media hasn't reported on any of this . . .

In fairness, we will note that Mr. Williford has many friends who remain loyal to his public service efforts after emerging from the pokey and they are eager to give him a second chance.

Contrast this against Mike Sanders who has been rumored to be doing construction work and sporting a new hairdo that makes him nearly unrecognizable.

We have to admit that we admire Mr. Williford's willingness to step back into the often cruel public & political limelight with his advocacy work rather than fade from the discourse.

Moreover . . .

On record there isn't any politico willing to raise these questions . . . Instead, the topic merely exists as behind the scene chatter & gossip that has sparked conversation but no legislative action . . . Yet.
