American Exceptionalism Ends: Independence 4-Day School Week Disaster

We're totally not exaggerating, but . . .

METH TOWN PUBLIC SCHOOL CUTBACK SIGNAL THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION!!!

It was fun while it lasted and we kinda knew it was all over when drag shows targeting youngsters became a REAL THING and a TV game show host sparked enough outrage to nearly tear apart the republic.

PRETTY MUCH EVERYBODY HATES THE 4-DAY SCHOOL WEEK EVEN IF IT'S THE FUTURE OF WORK & EDUCATION.

Superintendent Dale Hearl said the decision was made because of a teacher shortage. He says the district has already seen an increase in applications because of the shortened work week.

4-day school week met with mixed reaction from those in Independence, Missouri

Childcare concerns are on the minds of many in the Independence School District just one day after a big school board vote to shift to a four-day week. Many residents we spoke to Wednesday feel like the move might be good for teachers and the school district but question parents, and the potential for some students to be left home alone.

Last night, the Independence School District just outside of Kansas City announced they will implement a shortened school week next year. The state's education department is expecting more districts to follow.

Stacia Martin has two young children in the district and with her youngest moving to kindergarten next year, she was excited to not have to pay for childcare. Now, she's figuring out how she'll pay for an extra day for both of her children.
