SAVE CENTRAL!!!

 Given that the plan to close it seems ill-conceived and might have been written on the back of a matchbook. 

And that's what so many locals are saying as well.

Here's a glimpse at more public discussion & outcry amid an impending MASS SHUTDOWN of local KCPS resources . . .

After weeks of community conversations and hearing concerns from people, most notably the closure of historic Central High School.

The district says they’ve taken that feedback each week and will consider it when drawing up possibly drawing up a new proposal.

KCPS holds final community meeting over proposed blueprint 2030 plan

Thirteen meetings later and the future of ten Kansas City Public Schools is still up in the air.Wednesday was the last community session where families could learn more about the blueprint 2030 plan.Parents, alumni, and community members met to discuss the district's proposed plan at Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts.

Northeast community pushes back on potential school closings

Abby Hoover Managing Editor Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) recently hosted Community Chats in its Blueprint 2030 plan. Based on recommendations by MGT Consulting Group, KCPS could close as many as 10 schools, including three in Historic Northeast Kansas City.
