As always, it's the job of any decent writer to ruin the joke by over-explaining it.

Here's the backstory of the image for those who don't already know . . .

Vanya and Five Drive By Each Other refers to a series of memes based on a scene from the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy in which characters Vanya Hargreeves and Number Five look at each other from the windows of their cars with surprise. In early August 2020, the scene gained popularity as source material for reaction memes and object labeling.
