Earlier this year a very fun local donut shop closed despite overwhelming support and even enthusiasm from the public.
Hurt Donuts is Missouri success story even if their Insta might give casual readers diabetes.
However, news of their closing was politely ignored or earned just a few short lines . . .
In a statement, Ward Parkway Center said: “We are disappointed to share that the Hurts Donuts location at Ward Parkway will not reopen.”
The replacement is underwhelming and a might be yet another sign that the death of retail impacts a litany of adjoined biz.

Ward Parkway Center lines up restaurant chain Nick the Greek - Kansas City Business Journal
Nick the Greek is opening its second area location at Ward Parkway Center in Kansas City. The Greek fast-food restaurant chain will become the first tenant in a 2,000-square-foot space at 8807 State Line Road next to the former Hurts Donut space. It plans an early December opening, Legacy Development Vice President Dave Claflin said.
