Kansas City Hits 2022 Homicide #157: Tied With 2nd Highest Killing Count In Local History

Today we note a milestone . . .

A murder this morning ties KCMO with the 2nd highest homicide total in local history. 

Again, this is the 2nd year in a row KC has achieved this tragic stat and sadly local politicos don't really have a plan to address the crisis . . . Other than blaming politicos in Jeff City.

Homicide: Armour and Broadway

Just after 5am, officers were called to Armour and Broadway in regard to a party down and EMS en route.  Upon their arrival, officers located an adult male victim unresponsive on the sidewalk who was suffering from apparent trauma.  EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Based on the apparent trauma and injuries to the victim, this will be a homicide.  Broadway will most likely be closed at Armour for another couple hours.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 816-234-5043.  Or you can remain anonymous by calling the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.  There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information provided anonymously to the hotline which leads to an arrest in the case.

Kansas City police investigate suspicious death near Armour, Broadway

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a man's death from physical trauma after he was found on the pavement near Armour Boulevard and Broadway Boulevard. Officers were called to the area at about 5 a.m. after a report of a man on the ground needing medical attention.

KCPD investigating homicide after man found dead on sidewalk suffering from apparent trauma

Officials with the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department say a man's death that was ruled suspicious Wednesday morning is now being investigated as a homicide. Police said someone found a man's body on the sidewalk near Armour Road and Broadway Boulevard in Midtown Kansas City around 5:30 a.m.
