Kansas City GOP 'Red Wave' Benchmark: Jackson County Executive Vote

Now that the voting deadline is underway . . .

Let's consider a few trends to watch for this vote . . .

Exec Frank White: Reformer To Insider . . .

Recent campaign finance disputes offer an interesting vantage of the Executive.

Remember that Frank White came into office as a reformer and his baseball legacy offered hope to voters following the disgrace of a federal felon who was forced to resign from the office.

In fact . . . If Frank White wins today . . . It's still mostly due to his name recognition and baseball legacy that MIGHT overpower so much negative political sentiment.

Meanwhile . . .

Theresa Cass Galvin didn't raise enough money to run an effective campaign . . .

We thought there was more support for her out there . . . Turns out just a lot of big talk and outrage but not a lot of MONEY . . . Which is all that really matters in politics.

And so . . .

More than any other contest in the Kansas City metro . . .

The Jackson County Executive Race will demonstrate if the so-called "red wave" is for real(z) on the local level.

If Legislator Galvin wins it'll be a stunning and historic upset that deserves to be taken seriously.

If not . . .

Then, once again, we'll be forced to watch more exciting politics from afar.

A word from Insiders . . .

What the plebs don't know is that the Exec hasn't garnered much support from Freedom, Inc. after FAILING his fundraising duties and THAT might be the REAL reason his campaign has been lackluster.

In the meantime . . . Abortion & GOP culture war provide a more captivating cover story until we know the final results.
