Kansas City, Kansas, police investigate shooting on I-635

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Police are investigating a shooting on a Kansas City, Kansas, interstate. Officers responded to the northbound lanes of Interstate 635 near Kansas Avenue around 11:35 a.m. The police department said a bullet hit a vehicle. Emergency crews transported one person to a hospital.

Brothers accused of shooting, killing 2 victims Tuesday in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A pair of brothers caught by Kansas City, Missouri, police Tuesday near a double murder scene were charged today with both killings. Marques D. Smith, 20 and Marquan D. (KCTV) - Police said they are investigating a man being thrown over the side of a bridge outside of SoFi Stadium following Sunday night's matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs. A fan-captured cellphone video showed two men brawling on a bridge near Rivers Lake after the game, according to one person who witnessed the chaos.


No charges for Leavenworth resident after shooting man trying to break into home

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (WDAF) - Charges will not be filed against a resident who shot and killed a Leavenworth man in September. Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson reviewed the case and determined the shooter acted in self-defense when he killed Corey Anderson on Sept. 22.
