Kansas City Bike Lane Rebuke Ahead?!?

This week our blog community noticed a very clear sign that Kansas City small biz and residents are frustrated with city hall transit policy.

Truman Road biz protested bike lanes forced on them without a vote and the sentiment was largely supporters.

Something else we've noticed . . .

THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO LOVE FOR BIKE LANES ON THE EAST SIDE!!!

In fact . . .

Crossing Troost the demand for bike lanes falls to zero.

Still . . .

The plan to build 15 miles of bike lanes every year will impose this traffic hot mess on neighborhoods citywide.

Thankfully . . .

Democracy works in mysterious ways and this issue confronts voter rebuke even if so many decisions work diligently to bypass the electorate.

Notice . . .

KANSAS CITY BIKE LANE PROPONENTS TRAIL OPPONENTS AS ELECTION SEASON NEARS!!!

We've already talked about problems confronted by council dude Eric Bunch.

However . . .

The campaign of Mike Kelley for the 5th District At-Large doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

In fact . . .

Despite his impressive resume . . .

We notice very few signs of support outside the cyclist community.

Again . . . In fairness, the bikers are much more excited about Mr. Kelley than council dude Bunch -- Who seems to have given up on campaigning for reelection during the remainder of this year.

Developing . . .
