Kansas City voters pass $175 million in bonds for affordable housing and convention center

Voters resoundingly supported Kansas City's proposal to spend $175 million in general obligation bond funds over the next five years for major upgrades to park and convention center facilities and for affordable housing, according to unofficial election results Tuesday night. General obligations bonds are paid off with property tax money.
