Kansas City 2022 Homicide #151: Double Shooting Leaves Two Dead On Prospect

A cold spell kept the peace . . . Tragically, nice weather spikes our local homicide once again. 

Here's the afternoon report . . .

Homicide 27th and Prospect

This afternoon just after 1pm officers were called to 28th and Prospect on a shooting call.

On arrival they located two adult male shooting victims unresponsive just west of the intersection.
Officers summoned EMS to the scene who declared the victims both deceased here at the scene.

Preliminary information was that 2 people ran from the scene of the shooting prior to officers arrival. Responding officers located two people a couple blocks away and they detained them for further investigation. It is not known at this time exactly what their involvement might be.

Detectives and crime scene personnel are processing the scene and canvassing for potential witnesses.
