Pro-Choice Missouri, National Institute of Reproductive Health and All* Above All issue statement in support of County Executive’s plan to establish Reproductive Equity Fund

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Since announcing his plan to create the Jackson County Reproductive Equity Fund earlier this week, Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. has received the support of local and national reproductive rights advocates for taking bold action to protect the autonomy and decision-making of all pregnant people. The Jackson County Reproductive Equity Fund would utilize $1 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to aid women seeking reproductive health services out of state. County Executive White has issued the following statement:

“The support we’ve received for the Reproductive Equity Fund has been invigorating and further proves that this is the right thing to do. Pregnant people across this country deserve the freedom to choose when, if and how they want to start a family, and it will take all of us working together to ensure they can make those decisions without any barriers. In partnership with two of the strongest champions for reproductive health in our region, Legislators Crystal Williams and Jalen Anderson, I look forward to working with Pro-Choice Missouri, National Institute of Reproductive Health and All* Above All to fight for abortion justice.”

The full statement issued today by Pro-Choice Missouri in support of the Jackson County Reproductive Equity Fund is attached.
