Author Of Lesbian Political Activist Guide Assures KCUR Listeners Of Fair Coverage

A blast from the past this morning . . . We thought C.J. was spending her golden years watching lady soccer in a dark corner of some Indigo Girls cover band concert. It turns out she's shaping "news" coverage for middle-class white people and possibly dispensing those precious NPR tote bags

A bit of background . . .

C.J. helped run The Pitch into the ground as managing editor and her skills were so horrible that reporters jumped ship even before the best version of the mag was sold off and it eventually became a pet project for a trust fund Gen Z hack who can't stop writing about problems dealing with his height.

We remember . . .

She (reportedly) talked sooooo much smack about TKC that some of the ladies of The Pitch actually thought she wanted to engage in a fist fight with this humble basement blogger.

Pshaw . . . TKC is a peaceful man who doesn't fight but that notion was always kinda laughable considering that consuming so much QT coffee has given me enough freakish strength that I can still bench press a small pickup truck well into my 40s . . . Again, I do everything possible to avoid fights but I'm sure that I could at least match her in some kind of softball game.

But I digress . . .

Let's take a look at how one of the meanest and most ideologically driven editors in Kansas City is trying to rebrand herself for her current gig that mostly consists of whispering to rich white people in return for donations . . .

"KCUR director of content C.J. Janovy said she wanted the station to avoid "horse-race" coverage of political campaigns. Instead, reporters covered political stories through a variety of lenses . . ."
