Selling Cars In Kansas City: Sexist?!?

Actually . . .

A bit of misogyny is probably the best thing that somebody would say about car salesmen.

I'd like to think that a lot of women don't sell cars because (sometimes) haggling and negotiating bad terms which threaten to devastate someone financially is a cruel biz that women avoid because at heart their kind. That would be nice . . .

Reality check . . .

Given the current direction of capitalism . . .

Cynical auto dealers could recruit an army of Instagram "thots" to sell any kind of junk to suckers with the promise of good times shortly thereafter . . . Incels and simps would ruin their credit for the empty promise of attention and then . . . Inevitably . . . The whole system would collapse.

Still . . .

None of THAT should keep women from working a high pressure, high stress job that isn't nearly as rewarding as anyone imagines.

Here's a recent legal argument claiming as much . . .

The lawsuit alleges that, from May 2017 to May 2019, Landmark Dodge and Landmark South — the latter of which has since dissolved — hired only men for sales jobs and only women for office jobs.

It also says women were never offered a chance to move up from within the company to work on the sales floor.
