KU is buzzing as its football program prepares to host College Gameday for the first time

A hill on KU's campus three days before ESPN's College Gameday comes to town.Dogs playing, students chilling and the ringing of the bell only add to the serenity.But in the distance, you can hear a sound that lets you know that college football craziness is coming to town."It's going to be nuts," A KU student told KMBC.The kind of nuts this campus has never seen.


KU Jayhawks will get a newly renovated football stadium, to the tune of $350 million

Ahead of the University of Kansas' biggest football matchup since the 2007 Orange Bowl season, KU Athletics Director Travis Goff announced on Friday major upgrades to David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. "It truly has a chance, in terms of multi-use, economic impact, to drive change for Lawrence and, we think, for the region and the state," Goff told media gathered near the stadium's south scoreboard.


Pat McAfee welcomed with 'Rock Chalk' chant in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Legendary NFL punter Pat McAfee is in Lawrence ahead of College GameDay and was welcomed by the Kansas Jayhawks Spirit Squad in classic Jayhawk fashion. McAfee tuned in to host " The Pat McAfee Show" remotely from the College GameDay set near the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and as he introduced the crowd of Jayhawks fans in the background, they broke out in the famed "Rock Chalk" chant.

Rob Riggle announced as KU's celebrity guest picker for College GameDay

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Comedian Rob Riggle will join the University of Kansas's College GameDay festivities as the celebrity guest picker. Riggle will appear alongside Jen Lada, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and David Pollack for the show, stationed at The Hill, northeast of Campanile on KU's campus.
