I know it's Friday night and nobody cares . . . But . . . C'mon man.

The newspaper filed two late stories that are nothing more than political posturing . . . Which is fine with a bit of balance or even fun. They have neither. 

Instead . . . Readers are given talking points that could either be delivered by way of mean tweet, prog blog or even e-mail . . .

And so . . . We share TKC news links to dead-tree media still desperately looking for their role in the world of instant Internets communication . . .

Eric Schmitt's campaign tried to get ad featuring woman denied abortion pulled from air

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt's campaign for U.S. Senate last week sent a cease-and-desist letter to a cable provider demanding the company remove a television ad that featured a woman describing how she was denied a medical abortion because of the state's ban. The letter was addressed to Spectrum Reach, which covers a broad swath of Missouri.

Seriously . . . A Missouri prog blog did cover this better, with far more detail and more honesty . . . Because nobody should mistake their progressive slant which readers agree to when reading often very informative material.

And of course . . . The Star has always had a vendetta against Kris Kobach . . .

Kobach campaign ad supporting death penalty uses clip of Tiger Woods' DUI arrest

Republican Kris Kobach's new ad for Kansas attorney general included a clip of golfer Tiger Woods being arrested while accusing Democrat Chris Mann of wanting to eliminate the death penalty for individuals who kill police officers. Kobach, the former state secretary of state, is running against Mann, a former police officer and Wyandotte County prosecutor.
