Another bold move from the front office seems to inspire a bit of hope amongst baseball fans this week.

Here's the damage and, given 97 loses amid an atrocious 2022, a sign that nobody but Salvy will be safe from the ax this off-season . . .

He had a winning percentage of .430 with 165 wins and 219 losses and never finished higher than fourth in the standings or with a winning record in Kansas City. The Royals also dismissed pitching coach Cal Eldred."

There's no need to make excuses for what happened this year, mostly because the Kansas City Royals had a bad season due to them being a poorly run organization. Whether or not you believe that changed with the firing of Dayton Moore is entirely up to you, but I'm pretty comfortable saying an organization that has made the playoffs twice since 1986 is poorly run.
