Kansas City 'Four Light' Funded By GO Bonds

A political reality and open question . . .

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN TAXPAYERS WRITE 'GO BOND' BLANK CHECKS TO KANSAS CITY???

 Lots of fun stuff . . .

But more than anything else . . . Kansas City elected officials can, in turn, use that cash to fund luxury living space in places the broke-ass locals could NEVER afford. 

We're sure some paid hack might deny our reporting on this topic BUT last time around we remember that GO bond money did, in fact, help to finance a great many downtown improvements . . . And, let's be clear, taxpayers have VERY LITTLE SAY ABOUT WHERE THIS CASH WILL BE SPENT . . . And nobody really wants to talk about that . . .

Remember that "infrastructure" is a big component of an upcoming tax hike.

Recent land activity and property records suggest that The Cordish Cos.' plans for its Four Light luxury apartment tower have zeroed in on a parking lot next to B&B Theatres in Downtown. The lot northwest of Main Street and Truman Road for years was flagged in city agreements - and by Cordish officials - as a top candidate for the Baltimore-based company's fourth residential tower.
