KCPD investigating double homicide Monday in south Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police say two people were killed Monday afternoon in south Kansas City, Missouri. According to police, said officers were sent to an address in the 8700 block of Chestnut Circle on a welfare check. Concerned relatives told police they had not been able to reach their loved one.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City, Kansas, man is charged in connection with a crash that killed two people downtown earlier this month. Jackson County prosecutors charged 28-year-old Jose Angel Vega with two counts of second-degree murder and other related crimes.

A 28-year-old in Kansas City, Kansas, is the subject of two second-degree murder charges after racing and crashing his car downtown. Jose Angel Vega also faces other felony charges for the Oct. 2, 2022, crash that killed two individuals, including a driver stopped at a red light.


KC pedestrian critically injured in morning hit-and-run crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police are looking for the driver of a truck that hit a pedestrian and just kept driving. Kansas City police responded to a call near East 23rd and Topping shortly before 7 a.m. Monday. Officers determined the pedestrian, wrapped in a blanket, walked in the westbound lanes of 23rd Street.
