NOBODY MOVES TO THE DOTTE VOLUNTARILY!!!
Sure, the housing is more affordable, the food is surprisingly good and the people are much nicer than KCMO . . . But Kansas politics is a completely different game than the generation of deals KC has offered to the team.

Among hypothetical Kansas sites, the top several contenders almost certainly sit on parcels in the Village West area, said Jon Stephens, CEO of the Port Authority of Kansas City and a former economic development director for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas.
"If Kansas were to target a location to try to woo the Chiefs ... that would be the first location, and then there's a big step down after that," he said.
Multiple area developers and brokers agreed, citing Village West's abundance of developable ground; proximity to attractions like Kansas Speedway, Children's Mercy Park and Legends Outlets Kansas City; and easy interstate access.
