Kansas City Book Bans Target Kurt Vonnegut

One of TKC's favorite author is once again on a banned books list. 

The work of Kurt Vonnegut is timeless, bombastic and thought-provoking and genius. 

It's doubtful that it's obscene and what's worse is that anybody who wants to ban one of our favorite long-dead German-Americans . . . Then they probably haven't read this classic novels & essays.

Here's the bad news and realization that partisan hype is worsening and removing most of the creativity from the American discourse . . .

For months now, a handful of books dealing with LGBTQ themes have been targeted by Kansas City area conservative parent groups and politicians. But facing a new Missouri law, schools have now removed a much wider array of books from library shelves, including “Slaughterhouse-Five,” “Watchmen” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
