Kansas City 2022 Homicide #132: East Side Gunfire Kills Victim

The KCMO murder count continues to escalate at a historic pace. 

The latest killing puts us 10% ahead of last year at this date on the calender -- Once again we ask readers to remember that, 2021 was the 2nd deadliest year in Kansas City, Missouri history.

Homicide 8000 block of Wayne

Tonight just after 7:30pm, officers were called to the 8000 block of Wayne Ave in regard to a shooting.  Upon arrival, they located the victim lying outside suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene for evidence and speaking to witnesses.

Kansas City police investigate deadly shooting at 80th, Wayne

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City police are investigating a homicide Friday night. The deadly shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. near 80th Street and Wayne Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene and located the victim lying outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a shooting that killed one person on Friday night. The shooting happened in the 8000 block of Wayne Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. Responding officers located the victim, who has yet to be identified, suffering from gunshots wounds outside a home.
