Donations to Mayor Q offer a "feel good" selling proposition. There is a payoff for being nice and having a charming, friendly and accepting persona . . . Your average middle-class voter NEVER has a chance to enjoy local politics . . . Insiders note . . . Mayor Q is developing AN EXCEPTIONAL TALENT for skillfully, graciously and even LOVINGLY separating fools from their money. 

Fact is . . .

With no real competition in sight . . . The Mayor is looking at an easy reelection and doesn't really need to collect such epic sums. So far he has garnered nearly a QUARTER OF A MILLION BUCKS worth of cash on hand with even more big money coming his way. However, padding campaign coffers is ALWAYS a good idea and will certainly serve him well in the future no matter his path. 

The downside . . .

This move won't make him many friends during his next term in office and even now we notice complaints from current & future council contenders regarding Mayor Q sucking all of the oxygen out of the room amid economic harsh times.
