However . . .
It's somewhat concerning that a bevy of developers are already talking to council candidates about "supporting" the project in a way that's totally above board and not at all sketchy.
Biz Journal reported this last week but here's a more hopeful prelude to taxpayer funding of the KC skyline's destruction . . .

Developers Envision Possible High-Rise Project on Broadway
By Kevin Collison A development group has acquired a 3.2-acre site on Broadway across from the Kauffman Center, including the former Denny's site, and is contemplating a mixed-use project that could include a high-rise building.
