Biz Journal World Cup 2026 Hype Claims: 'Qatar Providing Lessons For Kansas City'

Lately, local media has been embracing their role as hype machine.

A recent example caught our attention . . .

Today the Kansas City Business Journal claims: "Qatar already is providing lessons for Kansas City."

I'm not sure exactly what that sh*thole has to teach our beloved cowtown but it's certainly not anything about life & liberty.

For instance . . . Here's a passage about human rights in that part of the world . . .

"Domestic servants, who are often poor women from South-east Asian countries, have few rights, and can become victims of human trafficking, sometimes forced into prostitution. There are restrictions on individual rights such as freedom of expression, and sodomy laws exist to punish homosexual men. Qatar's legal system is a mixture of civil law and Islamic law. Flogging is enforced as a punishment, and capital punishment, although rare in recent times, was enforced in 2020 for the first time in 17 years."

Sadly, we hoped the biz journal was above running this kind of hype or at least expecting subscribers to pay for it . . .
