Deadly JoCo Violence: Young Woman Shot Dead In Shawnee

"A 24-year-old woman was found dead inside the apartment with apparent gunshot wounds. Two people police believe are involved were taken into custody."

Shawnee police investigating death at apartment complex

SHAWNEE, Kan. - At around 5:50 p.m., officers were called to an apartment complex in the 7400 block of Flint Street in Shawnee, Kansas, in regard to a medical emergency. Upon arrival, officers heard the sound of possible gunshots from inside the apartment building and witnessed someone leave the scene.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Shawnee police are investigating a shooting death just before 6 p.m. Sunday in the 7400 block of Flint. Officers responded to an apartment complex on reports of a medical emergency. Upon arrival, police believe they may have heard gunshots from inside and witnessed a person attempting to leave the scene.
