Tuesday Aftermath: Deets After Deadly Gunfire On Kansas City Streets

To start this week there was a spate of deadly shooting on Kansas City streets. 

We're using this post as a convenient place to sort out the info.

Here's the first report . . .

Homicide E 30th Street/Montgall Ave

Just before 1:45pm, officers were called to the area of E 30th Street/Montgall Ave in regard to sounds of gunshots.  We received multiple calls regarding sounds of shots in the area.  Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds on the sidewalk near the intersection.  Officers performed life-saving measures on the victim until EMS arrived.  EMS declared the victim deceased at the scene.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for any potential witnesses.

The second spate of gunfire was more even more chaotic as police continue to ask for witnesses to come forward . . . 

Homicide 2500 block of Hardesty Ave

This afternoon, just before 1:45pm, officers were called to the 2500 block of Hardesty Ave in regard to sounds of gunshots in the area.  While officers were en route, the call was updated to a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers located three victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a residence, two adults and one juvenile.   EMS responded to the scene.  One adult victim was declared deceased at the scene.  The second adult victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The juvenile victim (under 5 years old) was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.  There was a second juvenile inside the residence who did not suffer any injuries.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel responded to the scene.  They are processing the scene for evidence and speaking to any potential witnesses.   They will be canvassing the area for anyone who saw or heard anything as well as looking for any video.

There is no connection between the scene on Hardesty and the scene at E 30th Street/Montgall Ave.

Child wounded in shooting Monday that left 1 adult dead, another wounded

A child was among three people who were shot Monday afternoon near East 26th Street and Hardesty Avenue.Kansas City police were called to the area about 1:45 p.m. on a report of gunshots in the area, and while officers were on the way, the call was updated to a shooting.


Triple shooting kills 1, leaves infant in critical condition in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Police spent more than four hours on Monday going in and out of a house at the corner of 26th and Hardesty. They said three people were shot inside shortly before 1:45 p.m. One adult died. Another adult is expected to survive.
