Postscript: Kansas United In Bipartisan Rebuke Of NYC Mayor's 'Brand' Insult

Across the board, everyone in the region was surprised and just a bit insulted by dismissive comments from the NYC Mayor.

For the most part . . . Conservatives capitalized on "Democratic City" rebuke but our progressive pals joined the cacophony of social media clap backs.  

Meanwhile . . . Guv Kelly missed out on a really great opportunity to something clever with a culture war flashpoint. 

Nevertheless . . .

Here are two comments from Democratic Party & Republican elected officials that resonate . . .

Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple responded on Twitter. "In Kansas, we focus on strategies more than branding, which is likely why our unemployment rate is half that of New York.   We're not looking for taglines and hashtags, we're working on results and opportunities."

Gubernatorial candidate Derek Schmidt added, "Kansas is not New York, and we don't want to be."
