As COVID-19 cases around Kansas City surge and fall, guidance by health leaders has shifted. The good news is case numbers have subsided in recent weeks. As of Sept. 10, the Mid-America Regional Council's COVID hub reported the daily average of new COVID cases was 244, close to the case rate in June 2020.
