Kansas City Brookside Lawyer Killer Jungerman Convicted

Today's anti-climax won't bring anybody back and might not provide any satisfaction to onlookers given that the ailing 84-year-old man in a wheelchair doesn't make much of a villain anymore . . .

Still . . . The 1st degree murder verdict counts and here's a bit about how it went down . . .

Jungerman was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action four years ago, accused of gunning down Brookside lawyer Tom Pickert in his front yard.

The jury found Jungerman guilty on both charges. His sentencing hearing is set for Nov. 18.

A Jackson County jury on Thursday found David Jungerman guilty of first-degree murder and armed criminal action for the killing of Kansas City attorney Tom Pickert in 2017. The jury deliberated less than two hours before returning its verdict against Jungerman, an 84-year-old, multimillionaire businessman, who was suspected moments after Thomas Pickert, 39, was found fatally wounded at his own front door.
