Kansas City 2022 Homicides Hit #122 After Deadly Overnight Gunfire

Lethal Kansas City violence continues to escalate this week as police responded to separate local shooting scenes which proved fatal for victims.

Homicide 4600 block E. 46th

Tonight just after 10:30pm officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of E 46th st. On a disturbance. While officers were on the way the call was upgraded to a shooting call.

On arrival officers were directed to the front of a residence there. They located the victim, an adult male, unresponsive. EMS responded to the scene and declared the victim deceased.

The callers reported hearing the sound of gunshots and looked out and saw the victim down in front of the residence there.

Detectives and crime scene investigators will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for witnesses.

Homicide 6100 block of Tracy

Tonight just after 10:30pm officers were dispatched to the 6100 block of Tracy on a disturbance involving sounds of shots. While officers were on the way the call was upgraded to a shooting call.

On arrival officers were directed to the victim, an adult male, in front of a residence there who had been shot EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he was declared deceased.

Preliminary investigation indicates that there was an altercation between the victim and an unknown suspect that led to the victim being shot.

Detectives and crime scene investigators will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for witnesses.
