KCI Comeback Despite COVID

Flights are back up and show us that even at 1/5th capacity . . . The old airport is able to keep running better than new design that's quickly turning into a crash & burn disaster.

Here are a few numbers revealing that people don't mind riding unfriendly skies with masks . . .

"The airport reported that 930,959 passengers arrived and departed through KCI's gates in June, up nearly 16% from June 2021. Passenger boardings increased 15.5%, with a total of 461,278 people boarded, according to a release from the Kansas City Aviation Department."

Kansas City International Airport continues to bounce back from the pandemic, nearly doubling its passenger boardings so far this year compared to 2021. From January through June, boardings at KCI (Code: MCI) surpassed 2.2 million, up almost 48% from last year. There have been about 4.5 million total passengers, increasing 48.2%.
