Kansas City Star Endorsements: Dead-Tree Contrary Indicator?!?

Telling people how to vote is EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF JOURNALISM.

Many argue the practice arose when daily news print publishing was controlled by political machines and unions which served only to advance their agenda.

Now . . . Only the owners have changed.

On the bright side . . . We've heard that many KC residents are interested in this list if only to use as a contrary indicator. 

And so . . . Check a local newspaper tradition . . . Abandoning their role as watchdog and switching to activist . . . Here's their word . . .

We urge every registered voter to participate in the election. In Kansas, voters register by party, or as unaffiliated. All registered voters are eligible to vote on the abortion amendment. In Missouri, voters do not register by party. Here are the Star’s recommendations.
