Kansas City Records 3rd Deadly Shooting In Less Than 24 Hours

Police aren't calling the deadly east side gunfire this evening a homicide but that shouldn't allow locals a false sense of security.

The reality is that this has been an exceptionally violent 24 hours in KCMO.

Here is the first report and more deets following the latest killing . . .

Death Investigation 34 and Indiana

This evening at about 9:10 PM officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Indiana in regard to a party armed. The call taker received information there was a male with a gun walking up and down the street making threats.

When officers arrived they found an adult  male victim lying near the street at 34th and Indiana.  He had been shot and was unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at that time.  At this point we are treating this as a death investigation.

Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. Kansas City police begin death investigation after man found shot to death Tuesday night

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating after they found a man shot to death Tuesday night. Officers were sent about 9:15 p.m. to check on reports of a man armed with a gun in the 3300 block of Indiana Avenue.
