"Jackson County records show the trailer was originally located at the Heart Mobile Village prior to being sold to a third party. Heart Mobile Village is the site for the county’s proposed new jail facility. At this point, its unknown how the trailer was transported to it’s present location under the bridge or why it was burned."

Translation . . . 

This is just a theory but a burned out trailer that was dumped after the courthouse moved out an entire neighborhood for the new jail might be a less than subtle hint that some locals don't like the way the effort was undertaken.

The charred remains of a mobile home abandoned under the 23rd street viaduct just off I-435 is the city's latest illegal dumping investigation and its a real doozie! According to the city's illegal dumping investigator, Alan Ashhurst, the full size mobile home was occupied by squatters, a man and a woman until roughly one week ago.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Inspectors are looking into a case that may have brought illegal trash dumping in Kansas City to a new level. Railroad police contacted Kansas City's illegal dumping investigators last week about a burned out mobile home. Someone left it under a bridge near 23rd Street and Manchester Trafficway.
