Kansas City Back To School FAIL: Student Walking Restricted In This Neighborhood

So often on social media we notice grown men complaining about the prevalence of cars or bike lanes with very little regard to the world outside of their own special interests.

Meanwhile . . .

IN KANSAS CITY, STUDENTS CAN'T WALK TO SCHOOL BECAUSE THE STREETS IN A LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD ARE SO DANGEROUS!!!

Sadly . . . This isn't a story about threats of violence . . . But a basic lack of infrastructure, poor sidewalk maintenance and a bevy of unfulfilled promises.

Check this tragic story and remember that 12th & Oak borrowed $800 MILLION promising to provide safer walking routes in the urban core . . . And now they want another 125 MILLION BUCKS to keep the promise they broke . . .

The neighborhood has been deemed unsafe for walking.

The restriction went into effect years ago after a student at Maplewood Elementary was killed while walking home from school in 2007.

Even if students can see the school from their house, they still have to ride the bus.
