Homicide 50th and Wabash
This evening just after 7:30 PM officers were dispatched to the area of
50 and Wabash in regard to the sound of shots. While in route it was
updated to a shooting.
Upon
arrival officers observed a vehicle at 50th and Olive that was
stationary. As they approached they found two adult female victims
inside of the vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims
were transported to the hospital, one with critical injuries and one
with non-life-threatening injuries.
A
short time later the victim with critical injuries was pronounced
deceased at the hospital. Officers located a crime scene approximately
one block to the south of where the vehicle was found. We do not have
any suspect information and are asking for the public’s help at this
time.
Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. If you wish to remain anonymous you can call the TIPS hotline at 474-TIPS, with up to a $25,000 reward for an arrest in this case.

Kansas City police investigate deadly double shooting near 50th Street, Wabash Avenue
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a shooting that killed one person and injured another on Thursday night. The shooting happened at around 7:40 p.m. near east 50th street and Wabash Avenue. One of the victims was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Double shooting leaves one dead in Kansas City Thursday night
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is investigating after a man was killed in a double shooting Thursday night. The shooting was reported around 7:30 p.m. at E. 49th Street and Wabash Avenue. A male victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
