Here's a tacit admission that Eric Greitens will NEVER be forgiven by the Missouri GOP:

"He said Tuesday that the defeat of former Gov. Eric Greitens in this month’s GOP Senate primary helped drive the decision to end his run to succeed U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt. Wood said in a statement that he didn’t see a path to victory against Republican Attorney General Eric Schmitt or Democratic nominee Trudy Busch Valentine."

Former U.S. attorney John Wood is abandoning an independent bid to represent Missouri in the U.S. Senate. He said Tuesday that the defeat of former Gov. Eric Greitens in this month's GOP Senate primary helped drive the decision to end his run to succeed U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt.
