Can Democratic Party Save Jackson County Exec Frank White?!?

Unbeknownst to voters and most of the mainstream local media . . .There's an undercurrent of legitimate concern that the leadership of Jackson County could undergo a cataclysmic change.

Something to consider . . .

There hasn't been a Republican Jackson County Executive in the modern era . . . Local historians would have to search back nearly 100 years to find a GOP leader on the sketchier side of 12th & Oak.

However . . .

Worsening economic hard times, the clear memories of the property tax crisis of 2019 and Missouri's solidly Republican voter base threaten to undo history.

Moreover . . . As we reported previously . . .

Democratic insiders saying that they can work with GOP challenger & Legislator Theresa Galvin seems to be nothing more than a message that NOBODY is going to be out there pounding the pavement for the reelection of Executive Frank White.

Here's a quick look at how the vote might break down . . .

Eastern Jack has shown such a disdain for the Executive that many lifelong Democrats were willing to side with a rookie over the local baseball legend.

A quick reminder from election night . . .

"Jackson County Executive Frank White won renomination Tuesday by beating Stacy Lake in the Democratic primary. It was the closest race out of the seven the former baseball great has run since entering politics eight years ago. White received 53 percent of the total, with 33,943 votes to Lake’s 29,765."

And so . . .

A surprisingly narrow victory isn't the only thing to consider.

- Look closely at Jackson County totals and notice that more Republicans came out to vote.

- As we've noted earlier, Legislator Galvin is diligently working her GOP connections across Missouri for more cash.

- Meanwhile, Executive White is keeping an EXTREMELY low profile. He refused to debate his primary opponent and has stopped making public appearances altogether. Insiders worry that he is no longer actively engaged in his job . . . Search Google and help out TKC . . . We couldn't find an on-camera interview with the Executive at any point this year.

And here's where help from the Democratic Party might come into play . . .

Allegedly, Prez Biden is enjoying a polling resurgence.

That's good news for the Dems on a national level but, again, in deeply "red" Missouri those changing headwinds might not matter.

Moreover . . .

Polling suggests that Missouri AG Eric Schmitt leads his contest for senate and heiress Trudy Busch Valentine has failed to resonate with the electorate.

Moreover and more to the point . . .

THE KANSAS CITY EAST SIDE DOESN'T HAVE ANY LOVE FOR RICH, PROGRESSIVE WHITE LADIES!!! DON'T BELIEVE TKC??? THEN JUST ASK CLAIRE McCASKILL!!!

Or maybe try to see what Hillary Clinton supporters would say off record . . .

If readers haven't gotten the message by now . . .

Across Missouri we've CLEARLY seen that rich white women WILL NOT inspire voter turnout amongst urban areas. Not even with a hug from former Prez Obama.

And so we'll finish with a question . . .

If Prez Biden & some rich white lady can't help Exec Frank White . . . Where will he find the votes??? A quick look around reveals that the electorate STILL seems angry about the legacy of property tax increases and COVID era crackdowns.

For those who would deny the ability of the Eastern Jack contingent to surprise the metro . . . Let's not forget a surprising ballot defeat that kept statues of Andrew Jackson in front of local courthouses.

Insiders tell us . . . "The Andrew Jackson Question" provides the perfect preview to the current face-off and a point of contention wherein Legislator Theresa Galvin has already defeated Exec Frank White in a hotly debated culture war issue.

Accordingly . . .

The threat of a November upset MIGHT HAVE BEEN PREVIEWED for those of us paying attention.

You decide . . .
