Jackson County prosecutors allege Perez Deshay Reed shot and killed Stephon D. Johnson in November in Kansas City, then used Johnson’s credit card to buy a cigar and juice.

Police found the body in a closet in Johnson’s Kansas City apartment about a week after the killing . . .

U.S. marshals moved Reed to Kansas City this week, and jail records show he was being held in the Jackson County Detention Center.
