Doctors encourage parents to get children vaccinated against COVID-19
According to data from the Mid-American Regional Council, about 40% of children ages 5 to 11 in the greater Kansas City area have started the vaccine regiment. The number is closer to 60% for children aged 12 to 17.Smith said contracting COVID-19 poses many more risks for children than receiving the vaccine.
