We enjoy this reporting but it reveals an unspoken and sketchy truism . . . 

You're pretty much on your own when boarding a Kansas City bus.

Here's a more optimistic perspective . . .

This man is ready to respond when conflicts arise on Kansas City buses

At around 4 p.m. on a Thursday in early June, the bus heading north on Troost Ave. came to a halt between stops. An elderly woman was supposed to get off on 39 th Street, but she didn't make it and the operator was continuing to 37 th Street when she yelled at him to stop.
