Leaked E-mail Reveals Cerner Cancelled & Now Called Oracle Health Ahead Of EPIC Layoffs

Clarification on the last part of that headline . . . That's TKC's VERY INFORMED OPINION warning that layoffs are inevitable even if local news doesn't like to admit it. 

Fact is, it doesn't really matter if not a single news outlet in Kansas City is willing to acknowledge upcoming layoffs given that employees have started taking their retirements and looking for other jobs en masse. 

For now . . . Biz news outside of the local mainstream is all that we have . . .

The email notes that the business is now called Oracle Health, one of Oracle’s global industry units (GIUs) . . .

“Oracle Health brings together Cerner’s portfolio with Oracle’s technologies for healthcare to help us achieve our mission of enabling better outcomes for patients and providers while reducing administrative workload and overall healthcare costs,” Mike Sicilia, executive vice president of Oracle’s global business units, wrote in the email.
