Kansas City Retro Power Moves Underway

Because we have respect for all of the guys in this post . . . We won't call this political exposition "old school" or something pejorative on this #TBT . . . Instead, we prefer to think of this story as a "vintage" throwback to better times for many of our readers.

To wit . . .

BEHIND THE SCENES LONGTIME POLITICAL DENIZENS ARE GAINING TRACTION FOR AN EPIC POLITICAL COMEBACK!!!

We hope there's plenty of time to talk more about this but right now here are the basics . . .

Missouri political powerhouse & Northeast leader Henry Rizzo was encouraged by a community of supporters to challenge council dude Eric Bunch given that NOBODY can get a hold of the incumbent for anything but cyclist biz.

We noted this before but it deserves a repeat . . . Jackson County Legislator Dan Tarwater is looking at an easy win in the 6th District.

And finally . . . Local 42 powerhouse Bill Galvin is running for the 5th At-Large and likely has the full support of every firefighter that knows playing politics is the key to career longevity.

To wit . . .

THESE ESTABLISHMENT POLITICAL LEGENDS PRESENT A THREAT TO MAYOR Q'S DOMINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL!!!

Here's the deal and the reason why this is important . . .

SHOULD ANY OF THESE STRONG CONTENDERS WIN . . . NONE OF THEM ARE GOING TO BE PUSHED AROUND OR EASILY IMPRESSED WITH MAYOR Q.

They're all political veterans, they all know as much as anyone else about KCMO politics.

Moreover . . . We've made a few calls and thanks to insiders we understand that there's big money backing all of these candidates from traditional union & police sources but also a bit of underground cash as KC's progressive politics have garnered the interest of conservatives at the national level.

Again . . . This should provide us a lot of fun in the future.

Overall . . .

This establishment power move might remind voters that all politics is a dialectic. Amid years of progressive advances, more traditional voices were bound to emerge and garner support from frustrated voters.

Developing . . .
