Kansas City 2022 Homicide Count Hits #78: Police Find Victim Dead On Side Of The Road

Another murder begins this morning's news cycle.

We notice the local rate of killing moving past last year's historic pace once again . . .

Homicide 51st & Lawn

This morning at about 4:45am, officers were called to the area on a medical nature unknown after a citizen called to advise there was a person lying on the side of the road.  Upon arrival, officers located the victim, an adult male, suffering from apparent trauma.  EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for any witnesses or video in the area.
