JUSTICE HORN SHARES SIGN OF HOPE!!!

We start a new day in Kansas City with a bevy of political power moves and this message from a rising star activist and local leader . . .

Here's a hopeful message no matter how readers are voting in upcoming elections . . .

“11 years ago, I was a closeted gay Black kid growing up in Eastern Jackson County. I was bullied so much that I believed being gone was better than living, and I acted on that belief. Thankfully, I was unsuccessful because I wouldn’t be alive to see this moment.

That’s me, an openly gay Black man running to represent the community he loves. I still have lots of emotions after seeing this yesterday, but I hope that me being out and proud shows some kid out there that it truly does get better, and that there’s an entire world waiting for you.

We’re just 14 days from the August 2nd election, but I also understand that this election is so much bigger than me. If anything, I know that kids coming up today will now know that they can do anything, be anything, and achieve anything no matter who they are and who they love.”
