A few things we noticed . . .
The wedding was at the fancy hotel Mayor Sly RAMMED THROUGH despite voter petition objection and council push back . . . We can only hope they made him pay full price in order to pay down MILLIONS worth of KCMO taxpayer debt.
Secondly . . .
We would've liked to see a picture of Mayor Sly with his daughter. Without question she is a BEAUTIFUL & CLEARLY VERY HAPPY BRIDE . . . The wedding is, actually, a pretty big deal and we think it deserves more of a spotlight than our snark fest blog or the snooty pages of the Independent.
Still we appreciate their write-up and have stolen liberated a quick quote . . .
"Aja Mackenzie James and James Matthew Radel were united in matrimony on May 7th at the Loews Kansas City Hotel. The bride is the daughter of Licia Clifton-James and Sylvester James, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri . . . Her groom is the son of Carol and Jim Radel of Kansas City. The Radels hosted the lovely rehearsal dinner for their son and future daughter-in-law at Boulevard Brewing Company on the evening prior to the ceremony."

Congratulations, Aja & James!
The bride’s parents toasted their daughter and new son-in-law at a beautiful reception that was held at the hotel. The newlyweds honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico. They are now at home in Kansas City, where Aja is the co-owner of Flexy, and Matt is employed with CH Robinson.
