Thousands Still Powerless In Kansas City

Right now, as usual, we're writing this blog without power and noticing quite a bit of sketchy, glitchy bugs in the system. 

Meanwhile, quite a few locals are getting a glimpse at the world without A/C . . . Here's a quick round-up:

Several thousand residents were without power Wednesday morning after strong and severe storms rolled through the Kansas City area, according to outage maps by local energy companies.

One of the hardest hit areas was along Parallel Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas, where the Board of Public Utilities was reporting that 1,800 customers were without power . . .

Meanwhile, Evergy was reporting outages were affecting 1,857 customers in Jackson County and 1,1618 customers in Johnson County. There were 224 customers without power in Clay County and 23 customers without electricity in Platte County.
