A quick look at local trucks and just a bit of common sense reveals that local recycling is mostly just performative.
Here's a quick quote of recent testimony . . .
"I have watched KC Waste services dump my recycling into the trash truck for the past several weeks. First question, why? Why do they do all this advertising on their website with their cute little YouTube video on how to recycle, only to dump it with the rest of the trash??? Why are they making people buy bins for $9 just so it can be a fancy holder for trash???"
